Mark, I love it that you left it here. This has a nice and beautiful light. I heard a lecture from a young artist from NY at Tyler once speaking how he went from making real tight paintings to looser ones. He said the reason was Picasso, he found a certain life in the way he painted leaving things undone, unfixed, like a person still growing...

These remind me of Rubens (as in Peter Paul), when he painted the multitudes of heaven, layered in stack upon stack of bodies, radiating from the figure of Christ, or what have you. Some other Italian painters did this, but their names escape me.

mark you should really pick up etching for a bit... you could make some awesome prints I think.
